Our City Officials have stopped listen to residents. 
Zoning practices are in direct opposition to the will of the people.
Neighborhoods are being destroyed by the City failing to look out for residents.

Important Note: Zoning is not set in concrete to be an anchor around the necks of residents. You have a voice and more importantly you have rights to request a change to the zoning.  Fight for your neighborhood.  The City seems to re-zone only areas of interest to a few and not residents.  If they cannot re-zone any of ITT's zoning then we don't need a Zoning Department.

Since ITT was not incorporated; it'd be interesting to see the legal documents that gave it authority to impose zoning and also to see the final zoning records prior to Plam Coast becoming incorporated as a city.  Also it be quiet interesting to see what zoning areas have been changed and why.

We don't want a gas station at E. Braker and Musket Valley, which is planned to be built next to Pioneer Crossing West's community playground and pool where a lot of children play. We feel this type of business (selling fuel, beer and wine, and being open late hours) will be a safety and pollution/environmental concern for our children and adult residents. A lot of residents from Pioneer Crossing West sections walk, run, and bike in this area. This business will increase traffic, attract additional transients to the area, will encourage loitering, increase crime, and will bring chemical, noise, light, and trash pollution to our neighborhood.

Campaign to prevent Shell gas station being built in pedestrian center of neighborhood
Spring 2000 – Spring 2003
Within two months of the Name Day party, Shell announced their decision to drop their plans to construct the station in Radvan. The gas station was not built.

Residents Fight Royal Farms Gas Station in Northeast  - It requires getting people involved.
Despite the political push for the creation of the gas station, residents are being proactive about stopping construction.
